Generation 4

G4 was designed throughout the 2013 academic year and put into the service in the spring of 2014.

The vehicle saw service for nearly four years, undergoing numerous technical changes as members applied their developments to the rather reliable chassis. A heavy focus was placed on the optimization and efficiency of the Briggs & Stratton engine, performing considerable efforts to optimize weight and implement high-performance components into the assembly. With the above changes, G4 achieved the team’s highest gasoline efficiency to-date of 1137 MPG.

Operation was discontinued in the fall of 2017 as the future generation, G5, underwent design and testing. The vehicle was kept for driver training and testing of the gasoline drivetrain.
